Founded in 2017 by architect Tosin Oshinowo to celebrate her Yoruba culture, Ilé Ilà, translated "House of Lines", is a lifestyle furniture line designed and handmade in Lagos, Nigeria. Oshinowo, who is known for designing the iconic Maryland Mall in Lagos, turned her interests in product design to create functional chairs that bring bright explosions of color into contemporary pieces while also placing them in a Nigerian-African context.
The Ilé Ilà aesthetic is fueled by a love of West African fabrics and hardwoods which form the basis for the brand’s expression and identity. Each piece is a celebration of African culture
