The coastal dinnerware collection, Baughaus, is a Black-owned home goods brand founded by Dana Baugh in Jamaica. Caribbean influenced designs inspire the coastal dishes, beach dishes, tropical dinnerware and nautical dinnerware. The coastal dinnerware sets and tabletop accessories are made out of fine porcelain. The beach themed dinnerware collection brings uplifting ceramics and tabletop settings into the modern home.
Baughaus was founded by Dana Baugh, who grew up exploring touch, either by making things or taking them apart. Her creative talents were encouraged by her family growing up as she worked on various craft projects. She was introduced to clay by her father at a young age and immediately took to sculpting. She then fell in love with graphic design and used it to take her creations to another level.
Baughaus is recognized as one of Jamaica's premiere ceramic design studios. The coastal dinnerware colelction draws from Caribbean culture and references to the natural world. Nautical dishes and nautical dinnerware sets are a great way to infuse the islands into existing home decor styles including maximalist or zen nautral. The tropical dinnerware, beach dishes and coastal dinnerware sets are a true expression of Tropical Modern. The shapes of the coastal dishes are simple, marrying crisp whites with colors of the Tropics to produce functional home accessories that are suitable for casual, everyday meals or special occassions throughout the seasons.
Consider coastal dishes, nautical dinnerware and beach themed dinnerware for upcoming at-home dining events or to give as a housewarming gift. Materials used are locally sourced, non-toxic and eco-friendly.
